# connect

> Returns a copy of the REST ethers signer attached to a provider.

This is a Para-owned REST signer adapter method. The adapter also inherits the ethers AbstractSigner surface.

## Import

```ts theme={null}
import { ParaRestEthersSigner, createParaRestEthersSigner } from "@getpara/rest-sdk/ethers";
```

The adapter validates local arguments with ParaRestValidationError and propagates REST failures as ParaRestError.

Returns a copy of the REST ethers signer attached to a provider.

Copy method signature

### Returns

`ParaRestEthersSigner`

A new signer configured with the provider.
