# getAddress

> Returns the checksum address for the configured REST wallet.

This is a Para-owned REST signer adapter method. The adapter also inherits the ethers AbstractSigner surface.

## Import

```ts theme={null}
import { ParaRestEthersSigner, createParaRestEthersSigner } from "@getpara/rest-sdk/ethers";
```

The adapter validates local arguments with ParaRestValidationError and propagates REST failures as ParaRestError.

Returns the checksum address for the configured REST wallet.

`Promise<string>`

The supplied address or the address retrieved from the REST wallet.
