# getWalletAuthorizationScope

> Reads the authorization scope a wallet is bound to.

## Import

Call this method on a server-side ParaRestClient created with your server secret key.

```ts theme={null}
import { ParaRestClient } from "@getpara/rest-sdk";
```

async

Reads the authorization scope a wallet is bound to.

Copy method signature

### Returns

[`Promise<PermissionsV2AuthorizationScopeBindingView>`](/v3/references/types/permissions#permissionsv2authorizationscopebindingview)

The bound scope and the binding revision.

## Route

The wallet ID in the path selects the binding to read.

```text theme={null}
GET /v1/permissions-v2/wallets/{walletId}/authorization-scope
```

## Example

Read the scope ID together with the binding's current revision.

```ts theme={null}
const { authorizationScopeId, revision } = await para.getWalletAuthorizationScope(walletId);
```

## Errors

A non-success response throws `ParaRestError` with the HTTP `status`, the error `code` and a `message`. [Permissions errors](/v3/references/permissions/errors) lists every error code.

An empty path argument throws `ParaRestValidationError` before the request is sent.

| Status | Code | When |
| - | - | - |
| 404 | `NOT_FOUND` | The wallet is not bound to a scope. |
