# listUserAdjustablePolicies

> Lists the policies whose parameters a user can adjust, with the user's current values.

## Import

Call this method on a server-side ParaRestClient created with your server secret key.

```ts theme={null}
import { ParaRestClient } from "@getpara/rest-sdk";
```

async

Lists the policies whose parameters a user can adjust, with the user's current values.

Copy method signature

### Returns

[`Promise<PermissionsV2UserAdjustablePolicyListResponse>`](/v3/references/types/permissions#permissionsv2useradjustablepolicylistresponse)

One parameter view per adjustable policy.

## Route

Your backend can read a user's values but cannot change them. Users save their own values through the client SDKs.

```text theme={null}
GET /v1/permissions-v2/users/{userId}/user-parameters
```

## Example

Each entry in `policies` carries the user's parameter view for an adjustable policy.

```ts theme={null}
const { policies } = await para.listUserAdjustablePolicies(userId);
```

## Errors

A non-success response throws `ParaRestError` with the HTTP `status`, the error `code` and a `message`. [Permissions errors](/v3/references/permissions/errors) lists every error code.

An empty path argument throws `ParaRestValidationError` before the request is sent.

| Status | Code | When |
| - | - | - |
| 400 | `INVALID_REQUEST` | `userId` is not a UUID. |
| 403 | `FORBIDDEN` | The user has no wallet connected to your app. |
| 403 | `PERMISSIONS_V2_EXTENSION_UNAVAILABLE` | Adjustable parameters are not enabled for your API key. Contact Para to enable them. |
