# ParaProtoSigner.signDirect

> Signs a protobuf Cosmos SignDoc with the selected Para wallet.

Signs a protobuf Cosmos SignDoc with the selected Para wallet.

Copy method signature

### Returns

`Promise<DirectSignResponse>`

The original SignDoc and a secp256k1 signature.

## Import

import type { Para as ParaServer } from '@getpara/server-sdk';
import { createParaProtoSigner } from '@getpara/cosmjs-v0-integration';
import type { SignDoc } from 'cosmjs-types/cosmos/tx/v1beta1/tx';
```

## Usage

```ts theme={null}
declare const para: ParaServer; // An authenticated Para Server client with a loaded Cosmos wallet.
const signer = createParaProtoSigner({ para, prefix: 'cosmos' });
declare const signDoc: SignDoc;

const response = await signer.signDirect(signer.address, signDoc);
```

## Limitations

The address must equal the selected signer address. Use this method with a protobuf SignDoc only; it does not accept Amino documents.
