# ParaEthersV5Signer

> An ethers v5 Signer that uses a Para EVM wallet for signing.

A Para-backed signer that extends ethers v5 Signer.

## Import

```ts theme={null}
import type { Para as ParaServer } from '@getpara/server-sdk';
import { ParaEthersV5Signer } from '@getpara/ethers-v5-integration';
```

## Usage

```ts theme={null}
declare const para: ParaServer; // An authenticated Para Server client with a loaded EVM wallet.

const signer = new ParaEthersV5Signer(para);
```

## Limitations

The class selects an EVM wallet during construction. `getBalance`, `sendTransaction`, and other base Signer behavior are inherited from ethers v5 and require the appropriate provider context.
