# createPortoSmartAccount

> Creates a Porto-backed Para smart account

Supports EIP-7702 only.

Use the package root import:

```ts theme={null}
import { createPortoSmartAccount } from '@getpara/aa-porto';
```

>
> Porto rejects external wallet signers. `merchantUrl` is required for mainnet sponsorship unless the account has native gas; `feeToken` can bypass unavailable native sponsorship on supported chains.

The returned account exposes the shared [sendTransaction](/v3/references/smart-accounts/shared/send-transaction) and [sendBatchTransaction](/v3/references/smart-accounts/shared/send-batch-transaction) methods.

The configured EIP-7702 account or null when no usable embedded EVM wallet is available.
