# getBech32Prefix

> Returns the account bech32 prefix for a configured chain.

Call `connector.getBech32Prefix` on an initialized [ParaGrazConnector](/v3/references/wallet-connectors/graz/para-graz-connector) instance. Import the class from the package root:

```ts theme={null}
import { ParaGrazConnector } from '@getpara/graz-connector';
```

The fallback prefix is `cosmos`.

Returns the account bech32 prefix for a configured chain.

### Returns

`string`

The configured prefix, or cosmos when no chain-specific prefix is found.
